Purpose

The RDM working group will share experience of using EPrints to manage research data.

EPrints and RDM

• Some EPrints sites have added research data to a pre-existing EPrints repository - for example, a repository being used to manage published outputs e.g. University of Southampton http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/
• Other EPrints sites have a separate EPrints repository for research data e.g. University of Leeds https://archive.researchdata.leeds.ac.uk/

Plugins

• The ReCollect plugin http://wiki.eprints.org/w/ReCollect customises EPrints to manage research data. The plugin changes the EPrints workflow and should be deployed with caution on a pre-existing repository.
