EPrints does not have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) automatically built in. Typically EPrints is deployed by institutions who have Single Sign On (SSO) systems, which provide MFA. EPrints can typically integrates with these institutional SSO using Shibboleth where EPrints acts as a Shibboleth Service Provider.

If you are setting EPrints and do not have institutional SSO, then you may be able to use OAuth to integrate EPrints with an autentication system that provides MFA. However, there is not currently an available implemtation of OAuth-based login for EPrints.
