Overview
The EPrints config is big but try not to be overwhelmed. It has evolved over the many versions of EPrints. Config files tend to come in 3 flavours perl, xml and plain text. To perform common repository customizations you are not required to understand very much of the config.
As of EPrints 3.1 a lot of common repository customisations can be done through the web interface but for the clever stuff you still need shell access to the machine.
